Bhupendra Patel’s office announced that Triton Electric Vehicles will build a plant on 645 acres of land with an annual capacity for 50,000 vehicles.
For the building of this facility in accordance with the current policy, it was said that the state government will help provide essential approvals and registration processes.
In the current financial year, Triton Electric Vehicle would begin the facility with an initial investment of Rs 1,200 crore. A total of Rs 10,800 crore would be invested by the corporation. About 10,000 people would be employed directly and indirectly, according to the statement.
An in-house paint shop, sub-assembly chassis, and quality assurance and material testing lab are all being planned by the company.
Founder and CEO of Triton Electric Vehicle, Himanshu Patel, and Gujarat government official Rajiv Kumar Gupta inked the deal in Gandhinagar in the presence of the state’s chief minister.
Electric trucks, SUVs, e-rickshaws, electric cars, and defense EVs are all manufactured in the United States by the corporation, according to a press release.
